Company's history

2019
Sistema and Rostec State Corporation signed an agreement to establish Element LLC, a vertically integrated design and manufacturer of electronic components. The new company had controlling stakes in 20 industry leaders.
2020
Following the reorganization into Element JSC, the company created a governance system to enable asset integration and established an organizational structure to improve the governance of the Group and its assets.
2021
Element Group set a new strategic development priority: to create a national leader in the design and manufacturing of smart electronic devices and computers based on domestic components by leveraging the strengths of its companies.
2022
As business grew, the Group established a new set of priorities: to integrate all critical microelectronics production stages within the Group, expand its product lines, and create regional industry clusters.
2023
The number of companies within Element Group increased to 30. The Group opened up two new areas of business: manufacturing of power electronics components, and design and production of equipment for microelectronics.
2024
Element Group went public through an IPO and became Russia’s first listed company in the microelectronics sector. The Group’s companies launched major investment projects, scaling up production at the existing fabs and setting up a new facility to mass-produce power electronics.

A major Russian microelectronics manufacturer, the only company in the country to mass-produce integrated circuits with a feature size of down to 90 nm, and a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. Mikron makes more than 800 types of products, including integrated circuits for automotive electronics, harsh environments, secure data storage, identification and payment cards, transportation tickets, power management, and RFID tagging for digital economy sectors.

Russia’s leading R&D center focusing on academic research and engineering studies in micro- and nanoelectronics, and development and production of semiconductor devices. Molecular Electronics Research Institute (MERI) conducts research and development under federal programs financed by Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and Roscosmos, and implements initiatives at its own cost. The Institute runs programs to improve electronic components, produce crystals for integrated circuits using the foundry model, and design and develop series of integrated circuits and semiconductor devices.

A leading Russian manufacturer of electronic components. NIIET is one of the oldest Russian R&D organizations boasting extensive production facilities and highly skilled personnel. Today, it is the only company in Russia to mass-produce and sell silicon-based GaN transistors. The Institute specializes in end-to-end design of digital and analog circuits, and power, radio frequency, and microwave transistors, as well as modules based on them. NIIET has a state-of-the-art production line for assembling integrated circuits and power, RF, and microwave transistors in all types of ceramic-and-metal packages.

Progress Molecular Reseach Institute (Progress MRI) designed submicron VLSI circuits and developed the first ever RISC-V microcontroller entirely built on Russian modules. Its solutions have been adopted by Motorola, VLSI Technology, Nortel, STMicroelectronics, Goldstar, SGS Thompson, and other world-leading companies. Today, Progress MRI plays an active role in a number of federal special-purpose programmes.

NZPP Vostok is a leading developer and manufacturer of integrated circuits, operational amplifiers, semiconductor devices, photodetectors, and sensors. Today, the company offers about 1,300 products, with state-of-the-art equipment at the core of its advanced solutions. Since 2020, NZPP Vostok has been building new production facilities and upgrading equipment.

One of the oldest Russian manufacturers and developers of special-purpose process equipment, NIITM boasts extensive production facilities and a knowledge center that ensures continuity between generations of scientists and professionals. It is the only company in Russia to develop cluster equipment and manufacture wafer processing equipment for 300mm wafers. Its primary focus is a range of equipment for processing 200mm wafers, which is compatible with 100mm and 150mm wafers. The product range is compliant with the SEMI standards.
